Online Editorial Assistant (Amateur Photographer)

We are looking for someone to be part of the Amateur Photographer Online team to increase content output and audience engagement.

TASKS INCLUDE

1. Uploading content to website, increase audience volume and engagement, including:
   1. Writing news stories
   2. Optimising existing website content
   3. Uploading content created by other members of the team when required
2. Regularly monitoring site analytics and sharing insights with Deputy Editor and Deputy Online Editor and agree actions
3. Managing social media content across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
4. Exploring opportunities on other social media platforms (eg: Pinterest and TikTok)
5. Identifying best practice through competitor analysis and other relevant insight
6. Other online content duties as directed by Deputy Editor

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

• Understanding of photography market
• Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and presentation
• Excellent interpersonal skills required to liaise with key departments across the business, manufacturers, suppliers and other external partners
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Experience of uploading content to WordPress CMS (or other), Email platform and social media
• Strong InDesign, Excel, Word and Outlook experience

HOURS / LOCATION

This is a full time role and home based.
